Job Description / Duties

We are looking for a part-time Chiropodist to work collaboratively as a member of the Aurora Foot Clinic team including other Chiropodists, administrative staff and outside suppliers. The Chiropodist must practice their full scope and be willing to learn all treatments offered in the clinic. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized and compassionate with excellent chairside manner. Practitioners of all experience levels are welcome to apply.

You will:
1. Perform assessments, treatments, health education and other primary clinical foot interventions to the full scope of Chiropody practice in accordance to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with College guidelines.
3. Make referrals to external services and advocate on behalf of patients as appropriate.
4. Ensure efficient and effective operation of Chiropody services as per AFC procedures.
5. Participate in team and staff meetings as appropriate to support both clinical and organizational goals.
6. Work during regular and extended evening hours as required. No weekend hours.
7. Work in a patient centered approach to achieve health and well-being for our patients.
8. Maintain competence and licence to practice as required, including professional liability insurance.
9. Promote AFC and uphold its values, principles and policies.
10. Work in a manner that preserves confidentiality to the patients, staff and clinic.
11. Contribute to the clinic’s efforts to maximize resources for our services.

Qualifications / Required Skills

1. Diploma from an accredited Institution of Chiropody.
2. Registered member in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
3. Proof of professional liability insurance.
3. Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
4. Proficiency in the use of computers and various software programs.
