Job Description / Duties

Medheal employs Chiropodists, who work together in synergy for the benefit of the patient.

We currently have 2 Chiropodists and are looking to expand.

Duties include the assessment and treatment of foot conditions; including, but not limited to biomechanical assessments, custom orthotic casting and dispensing, wound care, measuring for and dispensing compression stockings, the provision of foot care products and footwear. The Chiropodist is expected to work well in a team environment and must be willing to learn. We are happy to provide further education on compression, procedures or orthotic fabrication if desired.

Requirements

1. We are seeking an enthusiastic, competent, motivated, patient-focused Chiropodist, who confidently works independently but is excited to collaborate with their colleagues in a clinic environment.

2. New graduates are welcome to apply. Experience is an asset.

3. Candidates must:

-Have valid registration and be in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO).

-Have BOTH prescription and injection privileges per the COCOO.

-Have or be willing to obtain appropriate Chiropody insurance per their license.

-Have regular access to a reliable vehicle, which they are insured for.

-Be both punctual and reliable.

-Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Possess valid CPR.

4. Marketing experience is an asset but not a requirement.

5. The position requires the availability of 1-2 days per week.

The part-time Chiropodist is going to be essential in the care of the patients of the Medheal Clinic where you will be part of a team. The Chiropodist will work closely with other Chiropodists, Podiatrists, and administration staff to help build a patient-focused clinic with professional standards and care. Our Clinic does offer home visits(optional) and we are open on weekends as well.
