Job Description / Duties
The Medcan Clinic is recruiting for a licensed chiropodist to join our high-performing and fast-growing team of practitioners within Medcan’s Sports Medicine, Therapy and Rehabilitation service. We are looking for an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude and a current understanding of evidence-based foot, ankle, and general lower limb musculoskeletal conservative care.
This role requires a seamless integration of chiropody / podiatry services into the existing collaborative practice environment that includes physicians, orthopedic surgeons, a physiatrist, massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other chiropodists.
Our team places great emphasis on inter-professional collaboration via effective communication and treatment. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional clinical care practices, superior professionalism, and a firm desire to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications / Required Skills
DCh, DPodM, or DPM credentials
Current registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
Significant experience in dealing with varied orthopaedic foot concerns is essential
Minimum two years’ experience
Additional chiropody/podiatry related qualifications are an asset (ie. Foot Manipulation Therapy)
Superior organization and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is an Independent Contractor position seeking a two to three-day commitment for Tuesdays, Wednesday’s, Friday’s and/or Saturday’s. Starting half-days and building to full days as volume grows. Expansion of hours is available. The specific schedule/hours will be determined and has some flexibility. Compensation is competitive. The role reports to the Clinical and Product Director of the Sports Medicine, Therapy and Rehabilitation department.
